Portland Food Adventures has been all about experiencing food and wine through the palates and experiences of some of Portland’s most beloved food professionals. Our trips feature the ultimate chef experience! Spend a week or more with chefs you generally only see in the kitchen!
All you need to do is pack and get there! We take care of most all arrangements — great hotels, amazing restaurant experiences, and special food experiences you would not be able to know about or arrange yourselves Farm lunches, cooking classes, very special wine tastings, and dining from Michelin star experiences to street food. YOU DON’T HAVE TO PLAN ANYTHING but a little free time (and we can help with that). We know everyone needs some time to explore on their own. Our guests tell us what they love is to relax and not do their usual planning, seeking out the best experiences possible. We’ve got that for you! Who better than our chefs and artisans who know these incredible destinations?
Our guests are mostly from Portland, OR, and share the same love of the Portland food scene as you do. You’ll make new friends and one of the aspects of doing this that gives us the most pleasure is not only to have guests return, but to make new friends with whom they travel the world with us, and on their own.
This isn’t our first rodeo! We kicked off our international trips with Chef Jose Chesa of Ataula in 2015, before we’d heard of other chefs curating trips (We also started ticketed food events in Portland when there weren’t such events yet in Portland!). We’ve learned, grown and we don’t operate like a big tour company. We only produce a limited number of trips each year to make sure you have the best experience possible. We’ve been to Spain numerous times, Italy too, and also Australia and have plans for domestic trips and new destinations.
If you’re traveling as a couple, you’ll meet other like-minded couples. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll feel comfortable with our groups.
Portland Food Adventures’ Chris Angelus has produced over 80 events in Portland, featuring over 250 food businesses.
